The “Building Your Network Marketing Business” audio by Jim Rohn has an excellent segment about The Law of Averages.
In Jim’s audio he mentions that “The law of averages …. once it starts it tends to continue. Once a ratio starts it tends to continue!” No matter how many people you share your opportunity with, no matter how many people may not be interested – You will have a ratio! You may have 1:10 or 2:10 …whatever it is …. it is.
Once you sharpen your skills that ratio will improve …. if you are enrolling 1:10 now in the future you may be seeing your ratio increase to 2:10 or 3:10 etc. You will have more enrollments for every 10 people you share your company with.
One thing to keep in mind with averages is that over time you will see the trends in your enrolling. You may go 10 or 20 presentations with 0 enrollments! What happens over time is that you will also see streaks of 2, 3, 5 or more consecutive enrollments. Overall it’s going to average out … so don’t be discouraged if you are on a stretch of several presentations and no one signing up!
What I enjoy most about Jim Rohn is not only his sense of humor but also his ability to really simplify what it takes to succeed building a Network Marketing Business.
